Hi, I'm John Shank, and welcome to Shedking!

For over 15 years I've been helping thousands of DIY builders turn a pile of lumber into sheds they're proud to say they built themselves.

I didn't start out as a professional shed designer.

Like many people, I spent years working in a completely different career. But woodworking had always been my passion. Every chance I had, I was building something—decks, furniture, outdoor projects, and of course, sheds.

Eventually I decided to pursue what I truly enjoyed and became a professional shed builder.

For several years I built sheds professionally, often completing an entire shed in a single day. It was demanding work, but it taught me something that no book or YouTube video ever could.
